Stephen James was originally based in Canberra, but moved to Brisbane to train with now-teammate Joshua Grice. Barely making the Australia squad for the 2024 London World Champs, Stevie played the Basel Masters, European Championship, and Berlin Masters tournaments for valuable experience before joining the rest of the squad in London. | |||
In the 2024/25 Australia Roundnet Association Tour Series, he teamed up with Joshua Grice as Eagles’ Wings; finishing with podium placements at the Sydney Major, Melbourne Major, and Nationals. He was selected for the 2025 Australian squad for the Asian Cup in Taiwan, where Eagles’ Wings finished 6th overall in the individual competition and Australia won the Men’s Squad event. | |||
2026 will culminate with the World Championships in Paris, where Stevie will hope to once again represent Australia after having a successful domestic season. | |||
